Dennis,
My phone is way older than yours. It's so old, I don't remember when I bought it.
hugs, Brandi

Maybe yours is even older than ours. The 4 handset cordless with answering machine cost me $129.99 plus tax on Feb. 4, 2008.

And the corded 13 memory speakerphone on the nightstand by the bed cost $9.96 plus tax on Aug. 3, 2005.

She sure is a cutie pie! They just left to go home.

I take Chloe's photos to work and show her off, as any proud Grandparent would. A co worker, from Columbia, asked why I don't have a "modern" phone with photos on it. I told him I take digital photos, unload them to my computer, than print at home on my printer. That is as modern as I have came.
I have a Lenovo laptop and an older PC. I need my contacts in to see what's on my laptop screen, but can stay hours on the PC with no contacts in. This cooling fan thingie Ron mentioned sounds interesting.

Brandi,
If you haven't tried it yet, look into Wall-Mart's On-Line One Hour Photo Processing.
You can upload the shots you want printed from home and they will be ready for pick up, usually within an hour or less.
You could pick them up on your way to or from work. They will send you an email when they are ready.
It really is a slick system and the quality is really good.
They really are much cheaper than you can do it from home, but the main thing is they are actual chemical prints that are supposed to last 100 years.
The water based ink you use on a home printer is not only terribly expensive, but it will fade in a few years and smudge if gets wet.
Your daughter, or anyone else you give your Wall-Mart site address too can have prints made at their local Wall-Mart the same way.
You can do it in the store on their instant machines but they often don't take proper care of the chemical changes at most places so the quality can be bad, plus they cost more.

On the fan, just Google "laptop cooling fan" and you will see what they are all about. Wall-Mart and Staples have them starting at about $10

The cell phone my wife has cost $14 about 6-7 years ago. She buys a card once a year and they double the minutes automatically. She has thousands of minutes built up since it is rarely turned on.
When we go in the car she takes it in case we get broke down or something.
When I send her to the beauty shop for an estimate she turns it on in case I need to call her from here. Other than that, she calls her sister out of state once in a while.
I can't really hear it well, with my hearing aids, and it is too darn small to mess with in my way of thinking.
I like the big old fashioned speaker phone on my desk for real calling and let the answering machine do most of the answering. I bet "Raechel" gets tired of talking to my recording, but they keep calling,
even though we are on the "no call list"
Anyone else have that problem with crap calls?

pacerron; Yep, I have a couple of those crap calls that come in almost daily, in the landline. They goes to the answering machine, and sometimes I turn on the fax when I leave, so it will squelch in their ear. So far, they haven't gotten the hint. :confused3:

foreman; Best wishes for an easy surgery, and a smooth recovery.

Good luck Foreman, find a good vet and you can cut through all the "red tape"

Hey Foreman look at it like a 2 week vacation, I'm on my 7th week now and will have to get back to serious work soon.:D
Oh wait, a knee scope poke coming up soon so another vacation.

We just got .15" of hurricane water!!!! Woohoo.

Good luck Foreman. Nobody needs to tell you, but the surgery is just the beginning. Recuperation is long and has to be strictly followed for full success. I guess I'm preaching to the choir, huh?

Ron,
I will give Wally's online photo ordering a try. As it is now, my camera and printer is a Kodak, which uses the 4x6 Kodak photo paper with it's own little tray. Kodak says it costs 10 cents a photo to print. That and the convinence is hard to beat. I know the photos fade when left out in sunlight or lights. I had a photo of Luke in dress whites and his ship on my tool box for a few years and they faded out. But the photos I store are still bright after around 8 years. The printer is a fax/scanner/printer and it has broken twice. The first time I got a new one shipped free and the second time I got a refurbished one for free. They have shipped me 3 or 4 printer heads over the years for free also.
hugs, Brandi
