OK then. If we use bindian's camera, pacerron has to take 15 pounds off of each of us! I'm sure with a good camera, she nor I would need such help! :D Unfortunately, my camera does the same. It isn't a high quality camera, as it is a P.H.D. camera, (i.e.: Push Here Dummy)! I'll try to remember to take it though. Since pacerron has been able to make some of the old photos look just like they did, he might be able to make bindian and I look like we really do too! :drink:

Ya know bindian; If we trust pacerron with this task, and he gets a wild hair to try to be funny and add ANOTHER 15 pounds to us, we'll have to make a trip up north to kick his behind!

Never fear
You ladies can help if you stand or sit not facing directly into the camera but at a little angle toward each other.
Set the zoom on the camera to about 135 mm and have the photographer get back enough to not cut anything off but fill the frame with the subject, y'all, not a building with you as tiny figures in front of it..
Have him/her hold the camera higher than your eyes so that you turn your head toward the lens and have to look up a little. That shrinks chins and eliminates shadows. If your outdoors, try to be in the shade, not out in direct harsh sunlight.
Take a number of shots in case one of you blinks or has a weird expression in one of the shots.
Think happy thoughts.
All that will take off 15 years and 15 pounds to start, not that either of you really need too.:D

Ron and FG I play my guitar as much as my wife can stand.. When she say will you please shut that noise off and go to bed before I throw them in the trash.. this is my twenty third set of guitars.. in the last five years:cool:

Ron yes I have a level on my camera.. I hold my left arm at a 90 degree while my right arm stay at a 45 degree.. I tilt my head at 16 degree and the camera 64 degree.. knowing that the moon is 10 degrees above the arising.. it is much easier at sea level than up north.. higher elevation,:confused3:, plus a couple of shots of scotch helps when you close your eyes and say hope this is a good one..
mostly my pictures are for my writings.. I take a picture then a drink and write something.. a lot of the times the picture doesn't fit with the writing.. but then again the writing doesn't fit with the picture.. what came first the egg or the chicken.?. I am thinking bacon, tomato, and mayonnaise with toast,, then came the egg Mcmuffins which is on the dollar menu at your local drive thru.:laughing:. naw I don't have level..try to make a short story long.:D. Lou,
I understand everything you said ..... I think:confused:
I spent the evening on the porch waiting for the moon to jump in front of the clouds. It never really did but I will look at the shots tomorrow to see if there is anything interesting.
It was a nice warm night and it was interesting listening to the coyotes, frogs, and my tinnitus trying to keep time together. My tinnitus was constant, it was just those darn frogs that kept getting out of time. I think they were doing something else at the same moment. :D
Forgot the mosquito repellent, so I'll be scratchin all night.

Thanks to all the dancing and the prayers, we got a tad over 2".
Since the ground was already soaked,
The creeks floweth,
And the pond filled brim full. :)

My dogs hate to get wet! My mares do too. First drop of rain and the mares head for the nearest lean to, and huddle. My newest horse, loves the water. I can't fill his trough, because he will play in it and empty it to 1/4 full. So, when the mares run for the shed, he goes out and enjoys it and grazes in it! I really do laugh at the different personalities of the critters around here!

Each critter has its own personality alright. Our Chihuahua hates to get wet so much that she'd go hide under a bed if she thought my wife was going to give her a bath. But years ago, we had a German Shepherd that would go nuts if you picked up a garden hose because she wanted you to spray her right in the face. It was comical hearing her teeth clicking when she was snapping at the stream of water. And she tore up the little toy pool I got for the kids by jumping in it. Instead of just jumping into it, she'd jump, catch the edge with her hind feet and push off that way.

Great to hear, TXDon! I ended up with 1.5". It came down slowly, so no run off, but it also didn't wash my ryegrass seed. That should get sprouted and going well. We may be forced to do another dance session in 10-14 days, of more rain doesn't follow by then! If we keep this up, I'll have to buy some new dancing shoes!

I had discovered there was a Fall/Winter Texas thread when wading through stuff earlier this year, after joining TBN. I didn't figure this great group would shut up and not converse for an entire 6 months!

And Lou, I've had one person PM me saying he was going to report all of us for "chit chat". He was joking, because had he read the thread about that topic, with someone whining and complaining. That PM also said we are a fun group! Everyone should be a Texan, or an honorary one, because we do have the most fun!

txdon, my 2.62" rain was the biggest rain we've had in a year and a half.

Dennis, yep, 59 degrees. I can't remember the last time our temperature got below 60. I just now paid the electric bill of $199.91; hope it'll be less next month.:)
