I'm sorry you feel that way. I went and re-read your posts following your note.

Not trying to justify un-answered questions, but I have seen fewer responses to pricing questions than any other kind. Not sure why, just my observations.

My experience is if you ask "what tractor is better?", it's like the Ford/Chevy/Dodge debate. Those that own that kind think their's is best.

My experience is much better than yours; I wish you well.

Sorry you are not having a good experience. For the "what size tractor" post, it seems like you are looking for a large machine. How many stumps are you going to pull? How much trenching? You could probably do all that work with a great variety of tractors, all in a different size range. It looks like your choice of an L5030 would be plenty for that work. However, I'm not really qualified to give advice, since I don't own a machine like the one you want. I have the smallest TLB a person could buy. I imagine you could do the work you want with any Kubota between a B7610 and a L5030, it just depends on how much time you have. For prices, did you call around to the other Kubota dealers? I called about 6 Kubota dealers to check prices. I also looked around at the other makes as well, but felt most comfortable with the Kubota, based on the dealer, and the machine's price/value, and resale value.

the reason i started this thread was i figuired it would generate some kind of response /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif now to answer some questions how many stumps at present 3 acers worth. as for trenching need to fix the draining trenches that surrond my house. future plans involve small scale logging, habitate improvement, trail building, feed plots, trenching, digging holes. whatever i can to put it to work and make some money and keep me busy.

Now that you've spelled out your needs mabye you'll get some intelligent answers.
But lets see, been registered for 3 days, 7 posts and admitting to not reading and learning first before you're ready to give up on the greatest information site on the web?
You've already eliminated several major brands for no real stated reason.

Now.....my advice. Read, read, read, and learn

First of all having read these boards for many months I would not say that you were "ignored'. you even said that you had 237 views.

Real professionals have a tendency to try and avoid seeming over-zealous, when someone wants to buy a tractor or any machine. Sometimes buyers get the wrong impression that the sale needs to be made, or there is a catch, so the seller should be "beat up". This is just my opinion.

Now down to business...

You have established that you do not want to spend much more than 30k, less would be better. That shows you are serious. With your downpayment, financing should not be a problem if the paper (credit) can back it up.

Also you have decided what you want to be able to do with the machine. The very next step, and you passed.

Now what fits the bill? Throw brand name biases out the window. Do not look at just what is in the neighborhood. For example my father many tears ago fell in love with a Yamaha lawn tractor.

The local reputable dealer who has been here for 50 years, swore they would always be able to support and service the unit. WRONG! The dealer quit with the Yamaha and a year later parts were not to be found.

Also, please do not discount the Chinese tractors. You do get a lot of bang for the buck. That is not to say that should buy one of those but do not count them out.

So again, what fits the bill? Ask, ask, ask EVERYBODY! It is your money. Be specific when you ask. When you are done, compare all of the facts and specs and decide what matters most. We have faith in you. You can do it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif (Most sellers have a link, under there screen/board name for contact info. Go ahead and use it, that is why they are there.)

As far as I am concerned, everybody here sells a better unit than the next guy here. We call that pride in what we sell, so that will not get you anywhere except into that war you mentioned.

Now, not to seem over-zealous (come on guys do not leave me here alone /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif ) I want to sell you a tractor. I need to sell you a tractor. The bills still keep rolling in. The same goes for everybody else that is selling.

We can get you a decent machine at a decent price BUT we do not deal in anything over 49HP. All of our specs are listed on our website. Feel free to look and to ask, us and everybody else here, one on one.

I am sure every seller here looks forward to hearing from you. I know we do.

David,

I admit I was one of the original 237! And I have to say I was looking for a tractor close to your list of needs. I bought a used Kubota L 3710. I would have given you my recommendations except I have not taken delivery of it yet, so it is a little hard to respond not knowing if I did the right thing or not. I will let you know how it works out in a few weeks!!!!!

Hope this helps
