How do you have your hydraulics connected?

I have a down pressure kit as well that I connected directly to a remove, and there is no pressure relief, so while it worked great at first, I managed to break the bracket with too much down pressure.

Your bracket looks like a much stronger design than mine for sure. I don't think I would have been able to break/bend something like that!

mine has 2 hoses. one connects to one of my remotes and the return line dumps directly into the hydraulic tank. ie: single acting cylinder.

My Kioti dealer got me the part that installs over the original hydraulic fill point on the tractor. it has a standard hydraulic connection and the hose just clips on.

This way as soon as i raise the arm, the hydraulic fluid dumps directly into the tank....non pressurized. I can not wedge the arm and bend it.

Thanks. I'll have to look into that. With what I have now, when I release the remote lever, the cylinder is locked into its current position. I have to always remember to retract the down pressure cylinder before raising the auger, or crunch!

Thats what mine did the first time i used it. I called my dealer and asked him. He was the one that told me that those assist units HAVE to dump back into the tank to prevent what your talking about. I believe the unit is the same part that they install on tractors that have the backhoes installed if i remember right. The part was like $40.00. took like 5 minutes to install.
