Hey u stole my anvil. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif , i have one that looks simillar to that , My dads had it ever since i can remmember. He said he didnt remmember wher he got it hes had it so long. ive beet on it since i was old enough hold a hammer. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, i was cleaning up around his house today and he told me to take it for our new pole barn . It has hole through the base also i quess for some type of tools. i dont know what it weighs but its pretty heavy,

Haven't had time to use it in a while, but "counter-pressure" was the best conversion I've ever experienced (bit of a newbie here, but let's see if Henro has an opinion on that one...how about an insulated lauter tun).

On the lines of "conversions" the inlaws spoiled me on ZTR mowers, just bought one for my mother and am convinced that will rank up there too.

My Farmall H gets the longevity points, but my Farmall "regular" would have it beat if it was big enough for the loader.....yeah the JD guys have similar stories too, and there's nothing wrong with that! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

My 1986 Yamaha XT600 Enduro. Been to Mexico and Colorado on it. It's been in the back of my barn now for almost a year. I'm sure I'll have to clean the carb.

Post a picture! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif That hole through the base was probably for the tongs they used to build it. Hit the sides with a wire brush and see if you can find a name. when I got mine I had no idea that some of them were branded, I figured that an anvil was an anvil. I bought Richard Postman's book, Anvils in America, if you can find a brand name and maybe the serial number I can look it up and get you the info on it.

bgott, i will snap some pics this week and get them developed, no digital camera. The hole is in the end towards the point down under it , it is square like the tool holding one on top. There is two holes on top one is square and one is round. The thing is not big too look at ive seen alot of bigger ones but it is very heavy. im quessing 75- 90 pounds? Dont know for sure. i will clean it up , its been sitting out in the flower bed in front of dads house for along time. There also an old flywheel of of some kind of old pump or moter of some kind. i will take some pics of it too.
