The big storm in Buffalo

OK, so who is helping out with their blowers and such? Any good pics? And is it really 7 ft. deep?
Unless you have lived through a storm like that ,it's hard to fathom 5,6,7ft.of snow.I have seen it in Central NY,was there for the 1977 event.I drove home from work in a blinding snow storm and parked my rear drive car and didn't see for a month.I had a full sized 4WD truck to use.

My wife's cousin lives near downtown Buffalo: Note just the top of the garden trellis (~7' high?) just sticking out. Man I hope they don't get rain on this. Scary weight. Buffalo.jpg

I saw they were offering $10 an hour to anyone that wanted to help dig out the Bills football stadium. Must not have had many takers, they moved the game to Detroit!

As I look at these photos, I believe a lot of these homes will be damaged this weekend when they get rain on top of the snow. The pic with the guy clearing his driveway to now where. He should be clearing his roof. Just my thoughts on this mess. Come Monday there will be a lot of homeless people.

I don't know of any walk behind snow blowers that will handle 7' deep snow! I imagine that if you don't have a serious tractor/piece of equipment that can reach over 8' high, your going to be doing lots of shoveling!

And, where to you put the snow you shovel?

I agree the roofs need to be cleared. But, I can't imagine how you'd go about doing that based on the picture in post #4. How do you even begin and where in the world do you put the snow? It wouldn't take much and the snow would be higher than the roof!

I cannot even imagine this sort of mess. Wow.
