Yes, I was quite impressed. I watched free on Netflix or Amazon, BTWI believe that documentary was broadcast on PBS. It was excellent and I was shocked to see the number and variety of name groups that recorded there.

He truely had an unmatched voice, one of those that no matter the song - you knew exactly who it was. Sorry to hear of his death - I know you and many others will miss your friend and we all will miss such an incredible man and voice.I lost a dear friend. Al Jarreau was one in a million. I don't believe he had any equals in his genre in his time.
I met Al in N. Hollywood park in 1974. He was engaged in Tai Chi exercises. We became fast friends, and I learned he was going to be performing at a nearby place called the Blah Blah Cafe. The evening blew my mind, and it was just so obvious, Al was on his way to stardom. In the park he was just one of us, friendly, always smiling.
After learning he had been signed to a contract, we joked with him about possible cover photos: one suggestion was him behind the wheel of a gold plated Cadillac full of ladies. But of course, it wasn't his style. Even though he had a heart of gold. RIP, old friend, I know you are in a good place.

Did anyone see the Grammy's. I'm beginning to think music is dead. What a display of filth and no talent degenerates.
Wasn't it Hemingway who said in his day "We're suffering from actors who can't act, writers who can't write and singers who can't sing and they're all making a million dollars."Did anyone see the Grammy's. I'm beginning to think music is dead. What a display of filth and no talent degenerates.
I never have enjoyed those types of shows, all it is, is that industry hyping itself anyways.Did anyone see the Grammy's. I'm beginning to think music is dead. What a display of filth and no talent degenerates.
Country music is dying also...Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Merle Haggard and many many more.
Todays country is pure garbage to me...turn off the radio. So sad.
