mine runs off seat as well :)

I've notice the difference with the BX22 & 24.

The BX24 has a least two kill switch setup.
-1- that if the HST pedal is activated & nobody in the seat, it shutdown.
-2- that if the PTO shaft is/are activated & nobody in the seat, it shutdown.

Note: It does not shutdown, when you step off while the engin is running ...if item 1&2 are not done.

I do not recommend, but since I'm so use to my old BX24 I jump out the black switch under the seat. I've left the grey switch alone.

On the subject of the Ripper Tooth, this is one nice tool.
Trenching & taken out trees, without destroying the yard.
This unit will be adapting to the 3pt hitch in a month, after more testing.

Ripper has been tested since March & work great. Easy on/off too.

I've been thinking of one of those Bro-Tek rippers for my BX23. I have rippers on the my D3 Cat and I find it very useful in taking out trees by breaking the roots before pushing the tree over.

Hey Bird, you gonna put the cab on the BX24?

You know what would be a good idea? A lite weight, lite to medium duty FEL brush grapple that uses an electric actuator instead of hydraulic. That should keep the costs and price down. Handle it :D :D

How did you know about my electric grapple?? did I mention it to you?
I'm at the final design phase, this thing is going to be sweet.
The grapple will be design to only pinch the load in place, no actuatal force.
Lite weight & electric is key.

As far as the cab, I'm adapting my old one to the new BX24.

The thumb will have to wait until I get my cab done, since the dealer is taking my old girl next week.

I'll keep you guys posted.

How much does one of those ripper teeth go for? That is a neat idea that could solve my upcoming water - electric trenching issue.

I can't see where you can buy anything but the thumb. Am I missing something?

I hate Bro-tek...

for making me want the $700 package! ;)

That stuff is sweet... I'm sure I'll put off buying any of it until I do something that I should have had the skid plate in place for...
