The downside of a tilting seat

I also love the tilting seat on my steep hills, it makes the hills seem like they are not as steep as they really are.

Yeah.... Until you get off the tractor..... I am taking out a bunch if trees in one of my ravines... Around 30 to 35 degrees. I am hooking up chokers and dragging them out.. Side slope... Well.... Getting off up hill is easy peasy until you try and walk. Getting off or on downslope you find you are like 4ft off the ground. Stretched the sack out a few times... Can't seem to learn the lesson.

Does the tilt seat function have a disable switch?

Yep, but the on-off switch (on the dashboard) functions in a weird way. It basically just disables the sensors. Over time the seat slowly leaks down (tipping to one side as it does) -- it's not really doing what a fella would want it to do, which would be to lock the seat in one position.

Yeah, I took my switch and converted it to an on off switch for my chemical sprayer.

You could add some manual valves and reach down and lock it.
