Yea, it is the 6.0 liter. Everyday driving gets me about 17.5 mpg. Towing, I can't really say for sure because I never use a full tank when I tow that I don't have regular driving miles on the same tank full. In those cases I have gotten 14.5 mpg. I have heard other f250 owners say they get as little as 8.5 mpg towing to 11.5. I wish I could be more help here. No matter the mileage, that truck will pull the guts out of a 12,000 pd trailer. I pull my rig up a KY parkway with an automatic tranny, in overdrive, cruise control set to 75 and it never downshifts or loses any speed. One day I passed a Corvette going 75 pulling my tractor and everything I own. You should have seen the look on that guys face. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Don't get much better than that.

An aquaintance of mine was bragging that he was getting 12mpg with his powerstroke while towing. He seemed to think that was really good. It's better than I get with an F150 gas, towing. John

Great Don. I guess that's about the max anyone can expect while towing. Sure seems to take a lot to get em going, but then it's a breeze. I'll be looking for a better towing vehicle in the near future as this F150 just isn't all it should be. I may just change the gearing at first and see if that helps. Then I'm going to GM. John

Hey Jeff and Ken I am not sure of your laws but up here in Pa. any trailer you pull with a regestration weight of 10,001 or more you have to have a CDL it does not matter if you are loaded or empty or if your are pulling it with a 3/4 ton or a ford explorer. and the only thing staying under 26,000 lbs. does is keep you from having to pay fuel tax..
