Oh Don, don't be taking my lexigon into a welding class. You'll get us all in trouble.

They'll think you're a subversive and know I'm one. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Eddie, I was thinking the same thing. It is fun trying to sifer out what Harvey is talking about. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I thought I knew what a hot saw was, then I saw the hoses running across the trailer in the last picture.

( Bird's right Don. A hot saw is a cutting torch.

This is not to be confused with a quicksaw. A quicksaw is a two stroke saw that can have a metal or concrete-rock cutting blade. )

And a quicksaw is not to be confused with a hacksaw, which also has two strokes (back & forth), but is only used to cut metal. uhh... kinda like a hotsaw? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm gettin' myself confused. . . again. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Now you've lost me. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif What kind of saw is that? I've got some 2" thick, 2' square, concrete "stepping stones" and wondered about a way to do some neat cutting, but the only power saw I have now is my Makita reciprocating saw. Is there a blade that works well in one of those?

Yep, there's no doubt that would work, but for one little job to make two cuts?? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I don't know whether I'd ever use it again, so I sure don't want to buy one of those. I haven't checked rental prices, but had hoped someone just made a blade that would work in a reciprocating saw. If such blades exist, I haven't found them yet.

Bird, they make a diamond blade that fits hand-held angle grinders. For a couple of cuts, not too pricey (look for the bulk pack ones) and they'll work dry too.

What you need to do bird is mark you blocks. And then when you're coming by my way throw them in the truck. I have a bigger quick saw than the one on ebay.

Be like grass through a goose........ /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now that does sound like the best idea, Harv. Things got kind of hectic here this week, but I'll see when I have time to get over that way and give you a call.
