You're right, Brandi. This storm and rain were perfect to show me where I need to work and yet not do damage. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket.:D

I dug a temporary trench across the area behind the first dam. It's shown in red in the 1st photo below. That will get an 18" culvert. All this stuff is just a warmup for that B-I-G project. I just laugh when folks ask me how I keep busy in retirement.:cool2:

Jim,
Do you put a 90 on the end of the culvert and a vertical riser to control the water depth?
We do that up here, north of the Mason-Dixon Line, to keep the frozen ice in the winter from raising the pipe and causing a disasterous leak.

Just another reason to live in Paradise.;) The only people worrying about such things here are the refugees from north of the Mason-Dixon line who have not learned we don't have to worry about frost heave.:D

Jim,
That's great. I've got pics of my pond 20 years ago that show what happens here from ice heave.
At least we don't have all the poisonous snakes and other prehistoric reptiles
you live with down there.
I animated your anchor because you are really rockin on the pond project now.
Good job on pond to make use of the runoff.

But it's Rockin' Anchor Ranch, not Rockin' Logo Ranch.;) Please don't try. The rocker under the Anchor is sufficient.:)

Not sure what you mean.. I made the animation from saving a copy of your stamp on this forum as a transparent ( for white) .gif and layering it with a couple copies turned at 40 degree increments. The wording is exactly the same and was part of your stamp.

Good weather here today so no time for computer play. Lunch is over..

That's about it... I almost threw up from my own stupidity for putting a pipe straight through without a vertical riser. My anger with myself that day could melt any ice crean Dennis could make...
Freeze Heave 101.
