Update to the the burn pile started last year in this thread. Have been adding to it since then, this is the last grapple full, two days ago:

The Wind Alert Website forecasts low wind for a few days, so went out this morning at 9:55 with some old diesel to light it off.

Pushing the tree seems easy - not getting hit by the top coming back at you has hurt a few.

I don't have to worry about the top hitting me if it breaks off, because the push point is so far forward and the cab is FOP rated.

Why do you remove your grapple to work the fire after it gets going? I like to pick them up and restack them as they burn with my grapple.

I don't want the grapple hoses that close to the heat and flames.

Using a grapple would not have done any better than the stump bucket did:
