How about just a safety net down below?![]()
Trust me, if it were up to me I would leave the "Infinity" deck look. My wife seems to have a different opinion:laughing:

How about just a safety net down below?![]()
Saturday my wife and I went to Lowes and looked at high tensile wire. They had some 1/4" galvanized stranded wire covered with clear vinyl. The wire was $95 for 250 ft. The hardware required to attach both ends of one cable was $11.50. We are probably going to go for this solution when we finish our back porch and deck. The prospect really makes me happy. I was dreading obstructing our view with normal porch railing.tony Cecil said:M7
I happened to walk past a `wire` guarding today , along a river, and it was quite interesting how your eye doesn`t focus on the wire, but more on a distant object...The strands were quite close together, maybe five inches, and it really didn`t make any difference.....I know it sure doesn`t look rustic, but it did do what you are thinking about. I personally liked your `branch` look, and think you would be pleased with the look...Tony

Lots of rain here too M7 and the ground still hasn't frozen yet....such a mess!
