And then the rains came..............but it does bring out the color of the cedar:

We went up to check on the floor. So far it is handling the water ok, but I am a little worried about what it will do when it drys back out. We are going to get over 48hrs of straight rain from this tropical depression.
I hope to get the walls completly done by the end of this week.

Yep, but that will be after the entire interior walls get sanded with 40/60 grit. The outside will get pressure washed, then coated with a UV resistant sealer.

We used a squeegee to get the water off our sub floors when it rained during our construction and we even bored a few holes in the sub floors for drains...We kept up with it ...over and over until the rains stopped...Sure glad we did too...We used 3/4 inch T&G Advantac...good luck !

Can you tarp it? They make some pretty big ones....I've seen em at HF. I hate water on open wood, always tried to avoid it if at all possible.

Brin, it's been raining for 24hrs straight and not supposed to let up until tomorrow...a squeegee would not help much. This is 3/4" T&G Advantage, water resistant, w/lifetime warranty. My neighbor is a builder and said that he has had an open floor to weather for up to 4 months with no real ill effect.....man I hope he is right.
Scout I'm with you, but my big tarp went south covering hay last year. If I can get thru this I hope to get the rafters up within two weeks.
