You will be OK with the Advantac flooring. Helpped a buddy build his house and the floor was exposed to weather for over a year. I used this product when building my breeze-way and it was exposed for a few months with no issues. I think this is a great product.

It was a nasty drizzly day, but I had some help, so we tackled some of the monster Hemlocks on my mill. This one was the biggest and the tractor's FEL could not lift it, so I am guessing it weighs in at 3,500+ lbs. I had to drag and roll it to the mill, then lift one end at a time. We also could not turn it with our cant hooks, so we used a chain wrapped around the log, then by lifting and backing we were able to flip it with not too much trouble:

It started out around 28" but after carving off the flair it was about 23":

We got 4 - 5"x10"x24' rafters out of this one...but it made us work for it. I now have 8 rafters cut...only 16 more to go.

M7, I wish I had logs that big around here. I would love to build the whole log home with 25-28 inch logs. I'll settle for 20 though.
