Next step up from the 424 would be the Yanmar YT-235... 34 hp with a loader spec'd at nearly 1000# , 500 mm out from the pins. Specs are on the yanmar website. I have one and it is great. Geo
Sounds like a 424 would outperform your JD as well, especially the loader with 1200 lb capacity. Like Geosankie says, check out the YT-235. Beautiful machine, and will give even more performance. Since I need to do lots of landscaping work, I felt like the size and weight of the 424 was the sweet spot for capacity with a light footprint. So far that's proven true - I can dig up a stump without destroying the surrounding lawn. That said, pretty sure a YT-235 with turf tires would do no more damage. I'd love a YT if I could afford it.I'm on the fence, and been for awhile. Is there a model a little larger or is the 424 the last one? I have an JD855 at 23 hp and the FEL is rated at 600 lbs and I can attest that's the rating at new not now. I would love to be in around 30 to 35 hp. Am looking at Kioti now because my friend has one, and it's smaller than my JD and out performs it hands down.
Does anyone know were I can get some weld on brackets for a Yanmar 424 loader attachment? Need to make some hay forks and I tried to use the bucket mount and it seems to want to bend my bucket and it puts me further out from the tractor.
