HEY WAIT A MINUTE!!!! I have an F-150 with a color matched hard torneau cover. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
It is very functional, since I carry my tandem bicycle in it much more easily that I could in an SUV. In an SUV I would need to take the second & third rows of seats out, but then my bike wouldn't have the security of being concealed from the view of would be thieves. The bike is eight feet long but weighs less than thirty pounds, so buying an heavy duty truck would be silly, as if a $7000 bicycle isn't silly enough. The cover also lets me go to the dump on Saturday morning, then follow around the misses shopping all day with the security of locking up the packages after each store. I also have a V6 & 5sp, since I don't really have desire to tow anything other than the occassional equipment rental like a stump grinder. The truly best part was this truck only cost me $14,000 new with XLT trim and alloy wheels back in 97. Much cheaper than the big boy trucks and the SUVs.
Oh yeah, I remember when we lived in Texas one of my wife's macho male co-workers called it pretty boy truck when she described my new truck, well that is until he met me, when he was assured there ain't nothing pretty about me. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
BTW, my truck was built in Canada.
