The Rain Thread

Dear Lord please let it rain. We haven't seen more than 1/4" in 9 months.
The ground is dry and hard. The dust is choking us out. Farmers are planting wheat.
And I need the rabbits to have something to eat other than my lawn and the sprinkler valve wires to eat.

Well - we must be getting some of the rain that is normally yours. It mist, fog & light rain almost every day. And it's not really that cold... 25F to 35F --- but the humidity drives the cold into these old bones like an icicle. In the last 45 days - a little more than 3.5 inches.

And we have had snow - three or four times. Looks like whitewash paint. Less than 1/4 inch and gone by the next day.

1.25 in the last 24 hours in Oakland CA… my home measured 1.5 and the wind took out the power since 10 this morning… trees toppled

We are still in drought conditions so we better get some rain and a ton of snow before spring.

I thought SoCal got rain this fall. I guess you're too far inland or weren't in the path. We got 3.8 inches today. There was a tornado in my area too. We're not supposed to get those, just earthquakes and fires.

Yep… SF first Tornado alert and South Bay Scott’s Valley actual Tornado over turning cars…

It was just days ago Tsunami alert for SF.

Power restored here after 9 hours and considering how busy the crews are with storm damage I’m pleased…

We got .6 rain overnight and it warmed up to 40F. Three days ago it was down to 7F.

It has rained in central and northern CA but none here yet and none in the calendar forecast

For the months of Nov and Dec, so far. A little over 3.5 inches. So far this year - 13.69 inches.

It's been 10 months with no rain. None in the forecast. It is gonna be a record

Wow - 15 yrs.
I remember getting 30 inches in 08-09 that was crazy. I think we average 6-12 inches.

Seems we have too much rain this fall on the south shore of lake Superior.

Just a hair over an inch in my rain gauge from last nights storms. Lots of thunder, and a few heavy downpours, but mostly it was just a good steady rain. I was in a bit of a panic because I haven't finished all my bush hogging and I wanted to get it done before the storm hit. Fortunately, I finished about an hour before it hit!!!
