Wouldn't put it past him :)

However, he's had Alzheimer's since 2016 and he was 96.... no cause of death listed as of yet.

Didn't he have his last concert only a couple of years ago?

I don't know about that, but music can be one of the last things to go. Glen Campbell continued to perform well into his development of Alzheimer's disease.

His daughter said that every performance was like a miracle. In the last fifteen minutes before the show, he would repeatedly ask her what they were doing here, and he would tell her that he was ready to go home.

When the curtain came up, he would walk out and sing all his songs and play his guitar like nothing was wrong.

In recent years, Bennett is most well-known for his work with pop megastar Lady Gaga. The pair recorded an album together in 2014 called "Cheek to Cheek" which led to critical acclaim for both vocalists. The album debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. and won the Best Traditional Pop Album award at the 57th Grammy Awards. Following the release of "Cheek to Cheek," the pair embarked on a concert tour to promote the album.

Gaga and Bennett released a second traditional pop duo album in 2021, this one titled "Love For Sale." This album was released shortly after Bennett's Alzheimer's diagnosis became public. "Love For Sale" made him the oldest person to release an album of new material at the age of 95 years and 60 days, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

He has flown to the moon
And is playing among the stars.
He's seeing what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars.

and that song was the B side of the record and languished for years in a catalog before being picked up by Bennet for his West Coast tour starting at SF Fairmont Hotel...

The song writers did very well from the royalties as many artists world wide started recording it to...

Right now there isn't a whole lot to leave in SF but a topic for another day.

One thing to Bennet's credit is he was always available to make appearances in SF for dedications and events...

Randy Meisner died today, original bass player for the Eagles and known for singing “Take It To The Limit” as their closing song for years.

Randy had the best voice of any of them. Unbelievable range.
