Offer a hefty reward for anyone that turns them in and leads to their conviction. Get their buddies to snitch on them. Unless they do something really stupid, it's about the only way to catch these guys. Best if the sheriff has a way for someone to snitch anonymously. As soon as one of them has a fight with his girlfriend, she'll pick up the phone.

As far as cameras, unless they upload the images, I just assume they'll get stolen too. These guys are probably pretty good at spotting cameras.

You can get security systems and cameras with cellular cards -- or get a wifi router that uses cellular and your cameras can upload to it. Is there cell service there?

Watch Craigslist and Marketplace carefully for your stuff. You can set up searches that will send you an alert when new items matching your search are listed for sale.

Just my opinion.

Whatever you do I feel it is best not to share the security info with neighbors unless you truly trust them and they can keep a secret. Like where you have hidden cameras or what your future system does. Even neighbors with good intentions might mention to another neighbor or friend and then the cat is out of the bag.

Just showing a firearm here will get you a trip downtown unless you have a permit even in your front yard…
In Arkansas it's permit less carry. Lots of avid hunters here as well.

We had a lady that moved into the rental neighborhood who was pretty anti gun. She had just moved down during covid from Michigan.

She stopped and was talking to my wife and I when the neighbors whole family came out loading their truck with their guns. It was deer season and they were headed to camp for the weekend.

She ended up moving back to Michigan when her lease was up

watch for your stuff on FB, craigslist, pawnshops, etc. Chances are good they'll be back with better tools and a trailer for the excavator. Bet they are neighbors who know your schedule and have a drone to scout out the properties nearby. Use the excavator to dig a tank trap so they will have a more difficult time walking away with the contents. It wouldn't hurt to camp out in one of the containers to await them. Brush up on your Spanish. DON'T call 911. It's a complete waste of time. So are cameras because people might be afraid to identify them.

It is a shame that more of these f ing little scumbags are cured with lead, because that is the only thing that will turn this trend around. Worthless scumbag thieves should have absolutely NO rights when caught in the act, they should be treated like the vermin that they are.
I think I could think of a good use for my now damaged excavator as well. Just be digging close to the sewer and far from the well. Bast---- is right.
Sorry this happened TimberFarm. Hope they get caught soon, and the laws change to hard manual labor just in time for their sentence.

I would see if any tire tracks are visible and get a pic of tread patterns that don't match yours.

I have some solar powered Reolink celluar cameras on our construction site. I used some mapping software to figure out which networks had good coverage and the picked one of those. I see that at least in California and Oregon, Verizon's network seems to have better coverage in rural areas. But it can get really spotty and localized when there are mountains involved. One company's towers might be able to get signal into a canyon where another's won't because it's in a slightly different location. You can also use directional antennas than can greatly increase the range. For example: Maximizing Your Cellular Trail Camera: The Best Antenna Setup for Optimal Performance

With the Reolink and probably other cameras, you would need to be sending footage to cloud storage in case the cameras get stolen. Also the people and vehicle detection doesn't work all that well except at close range like 30' or less. It depends on the background, and also on how far you have to turn down detection to prevent false positives.

Sounds like they wanted easy to pawn and scrap. Local junkies probably. They will steal batteries from equipment, power tools are easy pawn items. Notify the local pawn shops. Idiots that stole our stuff hit the local small town pawn shop

I had a new container delivered a few weeks ago and spent this past Sunday putting on a lock box and mounting a Tactacam Reveal 3.0 cellular game camera to watch over it. This is the first Tactacam I’ve had so don’t yet have a good base of feedback on it. It has a dual carrier esim that selects the strongest carrier signal automatically and the app setup was pretty easy. I also bought the solar panel with integrated lithium battery to power it. They also have a security version camera called the Defend that has some different setup and detection zone configuration aimed more for security applications.

This is the lock box I put on the container and now have 3 boxes total with American A700 locks all keyed alike.
