I just bought an as-new one yesterday for 2k. It's too big for my MF135 but the deal was right. I'll just have to watch what I feed into it. Still has the original blades which are sharp. It was only used for 8hr apparently... Green unfortunately.

I would have bought green, but only one left when I bought mine, so it's red. Great buy for 2K! If you want a red one, I'll trade you :drink:

From what I see when the BX62 is attached to my 5075E, I think this will be the issue. When you set the Wallenstein level on the ground, there's a good bit of angle from the tractor PTO to the chipper PTO, and I believe the PTO shaft would not allow a rod through from side to side.

I have never liked the angle of the drive shaft when the unit is set on the ground. I have considered bolting some 4x6s to the bottom to raise it up about 5". I am tall enough that the added height should be OK for me to feed it. My plastic shields already are wearing.

I made a storage cart out of angle iron and 4 caster wheels (just a rectangle with a wheel at each corner) so I can move it around in the barn when it's off the tractor.

Both of these are great ideas! Because, like you, one of the first thoughts I had when I hooked it up to the tractor was - "Boy, that angle seems a little steep to me when it's placed on the ground."

I can definitely see the handiness of a storage cart to wheel it around the shop on. I need one of those for a few other attachments, too! Seems like every time I drop an implement somewhere, I want to move it a week later.

Here's another idea for the cart. I made this for my 4" one, but the same principle applies for the bigger one, though maybe a few inches wider. It's great for moving it around and makes hooking it up much easier, especially if you don't have a quick hitch as you can just wheel it up, connect the PTO then push it in to connect the link arms.

Great idea, thanks for sharing that! I have a good amount of 2x4's laying around that I could cut up into something like this.

Ran the chipper a little today on some dead hardwood that fell down on my UTV trail during all the rain this past week.

Wow! What a beast! I put it right up to its limits with a limb that was close to 6" at the base of the tree. I cut it into about 4 foot sections and fed it through in this pieces.

Man, I love being able to back right up to the brush and chip it up without dragging it!

I really enjoy having a tractor with 540E PTO to run this thing on, too. Less fuel and noise!

Nice. The chips are nice and uniform too. I always wish i had a dump trailer to collect them and use them. They are great to fill a low spot or muddy area on trails.

They really are very nice chips! I am definitely going to get some kind of trailer that I can dump to keep as much of these as possible. They are great for mulching your garden, too.
