Ah...this should be more like...what "Can't" a BX do!

WEll ok way to many to list here!! :D But point taken. :D :D

Got news for um...works just dandy. 560# deck...c'mon. That's like small potatoes for my 2200. Only problem is the weight of the machine versus the weight of the deck on steep slopes.

This sort of reminds me of the joke of the 2 guys in the plan and it looses one engine. Guy says how far can we get on one engine....the other guy says all the way to the scene of the crash!! In other words if your FEL is rated at 500# as aonther poster mentioned, and lifts 650#, but snaps at 655#, what good have you done.

You should keep the small ones within limits. I'd worry more about flipping the tractor with the weight on board .vs can it pick up the weight. I could probably drag around an 8' RC mower, but probably not for long if you catch my meaning. :D :D

Indeed, i've learned that you must be very aware of how "tippy" you are on these things. Just working with the FEL gets a bit hairy if the land isn't flat. I think what I've learned more than anything though is to NEVER take for granted that you're completely safe. I've been in some bad spots several times but moving SLOWLY has become more of the norm for me just in case. Always better to be safe than sorry. Blindly going into areas with a heavy load isn't the smartest thing to do when you're not familiar with it.

With my mower deck attached I no longer bother with the steep slopes. Found a little craftsman late 80s model lawn tractor I use on them. couple hundred bucks and it works great and is much safer.

Speaking of safety, I had another close call yesterday and was reminded why a FOPS would be nice. There was a relatively small dead tree (8" diameter at the base, 35' tall) on my property, and I decided to go push it over with the loader. Well, even though I gently eased into it and then started pushing, it was dead enough that the tree broke halfway up, and the top half came falling from the sky toward me. Luckily, it hit the loader before it hit me and deflected off to the side. It was odd that it didn't break when it hit the loader, yet it broke while it was still part of the tree... But, I did not enjoy seeing 17.5' of tree free-falling at me at all... And I was home alone with no neighbors in site or anything.
