OK, why did you guys marry these women if you don't get along with them or like them? Because it seems to me you don't.
I love my honey, we do things together and are interested in each others projects. It's called life, if you live with someone you don't like then get a mirror, you're the one in trouble.

Rob I think you are missing the point. This board is full of a bunch of tractor enthusiasts, many that have an abnormal interest in researching and aquiring implements. I have spent countless hours on something several times only to actually get it and then only use it a couple of times. How can anyone really understand that? My wife does but she will laugh and say "you're crazy" when she sees something else show up.

You are coming across as being pretty judgemental which would only be appropriate in marriage or relationship forum. Why in the world would a bunch of strangers on the tractor internet defend their love life? Why are you interested enough in their actual relationship with their wives to comment on it? Lets be honest, some people in this thread may beat their wives, some may cherish them and everywhere in between.

The other day I was using my tractor listening to music with my noise canceling headphones. After a while i noticed that my wife was desperately trying to get my attention. I shut the music and tractor off and walked over to where she was 200 yards away. She proceeded to tell me how excited she was that a new vampire movie was coming out and she was going to see it with her sister in a few days. Did I get pissed or laugh? Did I kiss her or slap her? Do I understand that she is into all the twighlight stuff or do I think she's stupid because she doesn't love tractors? Its really none of your business. I dont mind talking about the tractor or what I was doing on it but all this other stuff is not really anyone's business.

BTW lighten up. To get back on track, what kind of tractor do you have?

I think that's well said and it does pertain to some of the people here but most likely not many. I keep going back to the fact that two out of every three marriages end in divorce.

What does talking about it in a chat room with strangers accomplish?

I think it's more than that and I think it's possible to understand one's wife.
What does understanding imply? When we understand aren't we understanding their needs, the things that bring them joy and sorrow? And aren't those the most important aspects of loving another individual? After all, what does it mean to love someone? What do you mean when you say," I love my wife." Don't you mean that you reach out to her emotionally and that her well being is paramount to you? And isn't understanding the door to that compassion.

So if you say, "I don't understand my wife but I love her", exactly what are you basing your love on if you don't understand what brings her joy and sorrow?

This is a tractor net and this is a thread about wives on that net. I didn't open it I just gave my opinion. Everyone had a right to ignore my opinion or respond to it. No one's arm was twisted. Threads go in whatever direction they go. Hey, it's the net!

As for the people on this net there are some great tractor guys and some really knowledgeable guys too. Like the rest of you I appreciate that. I just ordered a new tractor a short while ago and it's a better tractor for my needs than I would have gotten if this net wasn't here.

As far as this thread, I'll debate anything that interests me and take it as deeply as it can go. If I offended anyone I'm sorry it was not my intention but I'll bet a lot of you have thought about your relationships after this debate.

Now I'm bored with it so back to tractors!
