I stayed with the MS441 rather than the MS461 or MS660 due to the anti-vibe. It is worth it to me.

I would have gone with a 461 but I wanted a Mtronic saw. The 461 is not much less than a 660. The 441 is a smooth running saw. It is the Rolls Royce of chainsaws. I think the 661 had better A/V than the 660.

I always wanted to run a 066 or 088 just for kicks.

So does anyone besides me use the other end of the Stihl spectrum? I have a 192, and while my feet like to be on the ground (not up in a tree), I find that I can zip the branches off with the saw in one hand while throwing the branch with the other.

I picked up a MS180C last year.32cc,narrow chain on a 16" bar,E-Z Start,and toolless chain adjuster.
Fantastic small, lightweight, and cuts very well for its size. The skinny chain takes less power.
Cuts like a friends Jonsered 2245,little smoke with Stihl Ultra oil and rec gas.
Would like to find a MS260 or MS261 at a deal sometime.

I have a MS192T that is my limbing saw to go along with my MS261 and MS441. I bought the 192 as a backyard saw but quickly grew to like it. Had I to do it over again I would have bought the MS201, but the 192 has not given me a bit of a problem. I used to cut professionally so I am comfortable with the dangers of a top handle. They are great and quick to use but anyone buying one needs to be aware that they can easily kick back and cause a serious injury.

A 066/ MS 660 has a lot of torque. I could only imagine what a 088/ MS 880 would be like.

I have a MS 170 and I really like it. You should put a adjustable carb on the 180 and muffler mod it. It will really wake it up. They say the .050 chain cuts better on these saws than the .043 chain they come with.

There was a MS201T on craigslist for $350. I'm kicking myself in the butt for not checking into it. There is a MS192 rear handle I'm watching now. The guy just dropped $50 on it, he needs to come down a little more.

I would like to pick up a used MS200T or maybe splurge for a new 201 someday

If I was looking for a used Stihl chainsaw, I would go over to Arboristsite.com and pick one out of the "for sale" forums over there from one of their well established saw wizards.

Good luck!

In my opinion, due to the EPA, the chain saws are being dumbed-down just like our tractors.

I heard on Arboristsite that John Deere was behind the tighter emissions on Chainsaws. They guy said JD owned a company that had technology for cleaner running chainsaws so they lobbied for tighter emissions on them thinking they could sell the company and make a killing but things did not work out like they planned.
