This is probably a stupid question, but...... how do you unload a heavy implement from the truck? I do not have a front end loader.

Ramps, earthen dirt bank, several of your strong friends or one Anatoly.

I use to do engine swaps and I backed the pickup into the garage and had a come along attached to the header above… simple and worked.

Have it dropped off in the nearest town that has a fork lift... load it on your trailer.

The local delivery trucks from a freight terminal almost always have a lift gate.

The local delivery trucks from a freight terminal almost always have a lift gate.

Usually you have to pay extra for lift gate service. You do that when you purchase the implement. You can have them back up to a space on your driveway where they can put the implement. Then you can unpack it if it's in a crate or frame and hitch it to the tractor.

If you pick it up at the freight terminal they will load it into the back of your truck or onto a flat bed trailer.

I bought a 'used oil' furnace and a hoop house that were shipped from other states. They come to a Regional Delivery terminal via semi-truck and from there they arrived by box trucks equipped with lift gates. They were skidded on the the gates, lowered, and I took them away with loader forks. In your case, either drag it to the shop or uncrate it at the road and hook it up ! be sure to let us know how it worked out !

I've used my engine hoist to load/unload heavy items into the back of pickup trucks with no issues. Lift height would be my biggest concern, if the tiller is on a tall truck the engine hoist may not reach.

Let this be a cautionary tale...there is a reason loaders are standard on most new tractors nowadays.

Even the little backhoe on my BX23 had come in very handy for use as a sky hook… with weight in the loader if needed.

You need to get your plan, possibly from one of these suggestions. Then load it with unloading in mind.
