My 2210 seems to leak down if I have the tractor parked for a short time with the weight box on with 350lbs in it after just a short time(less than a minute) you can hear it creeping down..Just slightly, but it is none the less and it makes a serious noise when I lift it..Like it is really working..with weight box off no noise or grunting when I raise the three point..My old Yanmar never did this..Is this normal or what? I left the three point up this afternoon with just the imatch on it and I will go check it in a bit and see if it has crept down any..

I just checked it and after about 3 hrs it has leaked down about 1/2 inch maybe more..

Thanks in advance..

JDdude,

I have noticed the same thing on my 2210 and was wondering if this is something I should have looked at while under warrenty?

My 2210 with 40hrs. does about the same. It definitely leaks down faster than when brand new. The three point will leak down with nothing on it. The MMM will leak down about about 1in in an hour. I don't know if this is normal or not but I'm going to ask about it at the dealer since it's under warranty.

I wonder if it is because Jd uses such thin fluid in the tranaxle? They offer 2 kinds for our unit..Plus the hotter weather might have something to do with it..Thinning it even more..

I am glad to hear Mine isnt the only one..Maybe if we all try and have it investigated JD might introduct a fix....

Keep us posted on what the dealer says..

Mine does the same thing from new to the 55 hours I have on it now.

My Massey does the same thing if I understand it correctly this is apretty common thing with most brands when the tractor is parked and not much too be concerned with.

The loader on my 790 leaks down excessively. I've had it back to the dealer several times under warranty and they have replaced the main SCV as well as all cylinders on the loader. It still leaks down as bad as ever. The dealership told me that they have had several complaints on this and were going to contact JD to see what they had to say. Mine leaks both when the tractor is running and when it is shut off. With a load in the bucket, you can actually see it leak down if you look closely. In my opinion, that is unacceptable.

Guys,

There is a similar post currently going on, TommyP started it, and based on what you all are saying, you have some kind of leaks. My 2210 (delivered 6/5, and with ~ 20 hrs now) doesn't leak down anything like what you are describing. If I have the rear ballast box on (filled with concrete, which according to the owners manual weigh's 682 lbs, it will ever so slightly lower over hours of (off) time. It doesn't move an inch without the super heavy box on the 3PH. BTW, the 2210 is rated at 620 lbs lift -- BS! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif -- it will lif much more than that. That is also why the rear counterballance is so important. This is really an awesome machine for the dollars! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif But the leakdown; there is something not right going on with your hydraulics.

I'll join the club, my 62c deck leaks down completely in 2-3 hours. I figure as long as I don't find oil on the floor I mind as well leave it alone. But my 3pt stays up always. I'll ask next service if this is acceptable.
