Thanks Nasty,
I talked to my MF dealer about getting a weight rack for the tractor. The main problem is that if I put a FEL on later the weight rack has to come off. It would be nice if there were a FEL system that allowed weights when you take the loader off. When I till or bush hog I perfer not to have a bucket sticking out front. I learned the hard way with my old Kubota about misjudging a turn with the bucket sticking out there. Bucket hits tree, tractor stops right now, Mark don't!

The FEL for my 1531 came with a brush guard that I'm pretty sure is designed to take suitcase weights. I imagine the weights themselves would interfere with the loader, but the rack obviously doesn't.

The front bucket is where I put the rocks that my tiller turns up, then I go dump them off in one place. Every spring there is a new crop.

Mark , You are so right about taking the loader off when not needed... Been there and done that bumped a tree or two myself thing  I like driving the tractor without the loader when possible but, must admit in being lazy taking it off when I don't need it....

You know, I just found this out too on my 1433
I wanted to add a few hundred lbs to the front (the aerator is HEAVY) but they tried and the loader and the weight set don't play together. :(

Not too happy with that, but what can you do.

If you have the loader on, put something heavy in the bucket.

Yeah
that works
til you turn, stop suddenly, lower the bucket to move a dirt pile, etc
BTDT, nothing like digging a chain out of a dirt pile cuz I was an idiot.

I like permanent solutions
I still think I could weld a piece of angle iron to the grill guard or something, that would add 50lbs or so.

Not saying this is a cheap solution, if your front wheels are drilled for wheel weights, why not get a set of them and bolt them on when using the tiller? I would think cost would be around $150 or so for the set.

I just found this Ballasting Your Tractor for Performance maybe it will help coming up with a solution.

I was also thinking of picking up a 5ft tiller for my 1533.... can anyone give a ballpark cost for one of these puppies new? Brand?
