Were you there a few years ago when that Cat-5 tornado hit Midwest City? Tinker was part of my territory when I was a district sales manager. I usually stayed in a motel about 5 blocks from the main gate and was there just a day before that monster hit. Glad I left town when I did.

Does anybody know how wide of a tiller will cover the rear tire tracks on the Kioti LB1914? Here are the specs for the tractor: http://www.kiotitractor.com/products/tractors/lb1914.asp#spec I'm just not which number is the width of the tire tracks. Thanks.
Has anybody ever heard of Yuritori tillers? I'm not sure if that is spelled right. My dealer has a 50" model for $1500. With what I would pay for shipping from an internet site that is a fairly competitive price.

I would say the measurment you need is 46.5 which was listed as the width, the track is often measured center of tire to center of tire, the width would be outside to outside.
Never heard of that tiller brand. And shipping rates totally depend on weight, size and distance, it also depends on if you ship to a terminal, a residence (highest cost) or a business with a freight dock (lower cost). So I would expect that you'd pay far less shipping buying from someone west of the Rocky Mtns than you would from someone east of the Mississippi river on a similar size/weight item. I paid $1050 for a Land Pride RTA1550 (50" with side shift) plus about $200 for shipping a few months ago. Shipping was to a business with a freight dock, distance was North Carolina to the Chicago area.

Thanks for the input. Do you think it is worthwile to get an implement from a local dealer to get the parts support locally if something should break? Or are all of these tillers pretty standard?

Corriher's tiller is actually made by First Choice. Several other online dealers carry them as well. You may find a dealer closer that can save you some shipping $. I'm looking at it and the 48" KK at TSC, along with the one CCI sells. Haven't decided yet, but I should be able to get any of the 3 locally for about $1K.

Did you visit the hotel after the tornado? 5 blocks or so west of the main gate is where "the big one" went through. I was at home 4 miles away. It was amazing to see all the clouds in the sky being sucked in toward the tornado from all directions.

I drove past it a couple of times but it was closed. Then my territory changed and I never went back to the area. I think it was called the Comfort Inn (I stayed at so many I don't remember all the names}. There was a Cracker Barrel behind it and a little restraint/bar next to it. The bar use to have those lingerie shows in the evenings.

I think it was. I went back through the area about a week later, headed home from a sales meeting in Dallas, and the building was still standing but it was boarded up.

Nope, I was already retired and gainfully employed elsewhere... I did have several friends living there at the time, but luckily for them they were spared any devastating damage.
