Tiller Tiller size?

I have a JD 4300 and a Landpride 2555 tiller. The tiller will offset enough to cover tire tracks. My garden area hadn't been tended for over 25 years, and the 2555 done an excellent job. IMHO, I think the 4300 would have no problems handling the 2570 model. I know a guy that uses a 2562 on a JD 4200 without any difficulty.

Rick and the rest of you, I'm glad that know one though I was nuts. If a 4200 pulls a 2562 then mine will have no problem with a 2570. My dauther got the calcultor out and figured 20 hp with a 50" swath and a 32hp with a 70" swath. She said the 4300 should have 6% more power than the 755 had useing a 50 tiller, So I guess were not all wet. Thanks for all the opions!!!

DDT: I have a 84" Sovema tiller that probably weighs 800-900 lbs. and my 3710 has no problem tilling the max. of 6 inches.

Either you streched your tape measure out a little or you've got some modifications to your TC35. Mine measures just over 68" in the back with R4s, and my 72" bucket is wider than the tractor.

Oh Yea! I forgot to mention that the tractor has ice chains on it that effectively widen the rig another 1 1/2 to 2" on each side. I certainly hope that I won't be tilling with chains on but the way this winter is with snow - who knows?! Maybe we can find some variety of early tomato that thrives in the white stuff! I'll measure the tyres and let you know what they are rubber to rubber. On a related note, talked to an equipment dealer yesterday and he recomended against a 6' tiller as being too big for my rig. So I guess it's a narrower tiller that I can offset.
