You tube videos will show you what to do. Worst case, watch the video's and then take some photo's with the lengths and describe where you think the two sides should be cut, then post them here and we'll confirm if you measured correctly, before you cut.

Hello everyone. So lately I've being thinking of buying a rototiller for my tractor and I've being searching a lot of options. I looked a few different American brands, including couple of Italian brands like....Caroni and Cosmo. My problem is that all of them or almost all of them need a drive shaft customized (cut to size) from tractor PTO to tiller gearbox. I've seeing video and how easy they make the process of doing that, but quite honestly I don't feel confident in doing any of that,....(measuring and cutting). If you screw-up one of those two...you're going to throw the drive shaft in the trashcan. So I was wondering where to go to have the driveshaft customized. Thank you.
P.S. 2023 Massey Ferguson 1825E compact utility tractor.

BTW, Very nice tractor and welcome to the forum. Make sure you file the tubes inside and out and clean the shavings out really well with soap and water or I Use carb or brake cleaner then lube everything up real good. with a light weight oil. I used fluid film or a garage door lubricant works really well.

No need to cut both tubes when cutting the one will do. The; metal used
to make the tubes is very hard and you deffently don't want to make two
cuts when one will do. Saves time and less work

I have the same tractor as you and I have a Woods [emoji6][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]” tiller. It’s a great combo, I don’t till much or have much to compare it to besides my John Deere with a tiller.

Yes very nice. Woods tillers are good implements, the problem that I have is the price, for a 48" inch tiller they were asking me $3,000.00+taxes. I understand they're high quality but you can find other implements just as good at half the price. For example I looked into the Caroni brand, it has everything the Woods has, except Caroni is chain driven tiller. Caroni is a good company, located in Italy. The price for the 48" in. is $1,750.00. Also I forgot to mention that I only have 3 acres of land, that my wife and I cultivate for our self and it only requires 15 to 40 hp at the PTO.

I've been tilling with a 6ft. Countyline tiller for about 10 years. I fill it with 90 weight each spring. I've tilled several neighbors gardens and deer food plots too. I have no complaints, especially for the price.

I was lucky, when I bought my tractor the dealer had that tiller on the lot too long and sold it to me for 2k. I wasn't even going to buy one but I had been keeping my eye on prices and I knew that was a good deal. I'm really glad that I bought it, where I was using a disk harrow and box blade to level ground that had grass on it, now I use the tiller and it's so much easier. No more sod chunks to deal with.
