I am thinking of sealing the deck and puting a cheep caulk between the boards so I don't loose all the sand while going down the road.

A cheap tarp works really well. When it is near empty just pull it off the trailer.

I want to put dirt, process, and sand in my trailer and unload it with my loader, I am thinking of sealing the deck and puting a cheep caulk between the boards so I don't loose all the sand while going down the road. I angle the trailer while not in use so the rain can run off. I hope it holds up? I guess if it rots, that's the price you pay, nothing last for ever, I hope it does'nt rot in one or two years. Any thoughts?

Here's another vote for the tarp method. I do the same thing -- my trailer deck is 6.5 x 16 so I bought a cheap 20 x 16 tarp. I lay it with the 16 foot side matching the length of the trailer and let the other sides lay over the sides of the trailer. Advantages:I'm now leaning to just buying a roll of heavy duty plastic that they sell in rolls from Home Depot and Lowes. It's cheap and will work for one time use. If I do this, it's only once or twice a year, so that will work better for me.
Had a buddy use trex on his 14ft tilt deck. He got a smok'n deal on some 2X6 left-overs and remnants. Made very nice trailer deck grippy, strong. probably outlast trailer.
