Chains Tire Chains

I have went to tirechains.com and took in the advice. I think that I am going to go ahead and get them so that I am ready. I have a lot of snow to move so I want to be ready. The tire size is 12.4-16. I didn't look at mine but I got that from the these wonder forums. I am going to be using them on mostly asphalt and gravel. I don't want chains that will beat me all around on the tractor.

Which should I go with? I want the best for asphalt and gravel? Deceit ride?

What is the front tire size of the B2910? Should I put tire chains on the front and rear? Just the rear?

2 link ladder is what I would buy.

Get the heavy duty adjusters...

Here is what mine look like...on my B2910.

I don't think you want to put chains on the front. Got that impression from what I have read here at tbn but can't tell you exactly why not. You probably won't need them on the front.

PS...the chains do fall in the grooves to some extent, but enough is out on top of the tire tread to get a pretty good bite.

The duo-grip would be the best option for traction, but someone reported that they give a pretty bumpy ride...dj1701 changed from the duo-grip style to the ladder style recently...if my memory is correct.

I think I remember someone finding the duo-grip for the B2910 tire size, but I don't remember who or where they got them...

I am going to think about it and talk to my dealer and see what he recommends and get his prices. Those chains won't rub the fenders or fender bolts, right henro? I want to thank everybody for the input. It has been very helpful.

They don't hit on mine...I had them on for about five months last year without any problems...they are not hitting this year either... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Dave: u might want to look at this pic. i have only a b2400, tires not loaded and no chains, and i don't have problem with the snow in pic. and we get a lot of that.when i had the ford 2n chains were a must as the loader made the back end light. i still don't think u need them. but if makes u feel better then by all means get them, it won't hurt.

That is a lot of snow. I might wait on the chains after seeing that. We get most of our snow in January and February so I might see how it does in smaller snows. After seeing that I probally won't need them. Thanks for saving me some money. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
