I noticed the other day that on my front R1 tires the lugs are starting to wrinkle. It looks to me that they were under inflated, but they are not as I have 26psi in them. I got looking for the max. psi rating on the tire and noticed that it was 28psi with a max. load rating of 590lbs. If this is true, from what "I" calculate is that these tires are underrated for the machine. CK20J weighs 1962lbs plus FEL 495lbs plus bucket 176lbs plus backhoe 785lbs plus bucket 56lbs plus me 185lbs plus bucket full of material 600lbs equals 4259lbs. With a 60/40 weight ratio (40 on the front) this gives you 1703lbs divided by two equal 850lbs of load per front tire. A 44% over weight factor. Is this reality or am I over blowing this a bit? Just slightly concerned about overworking the tires or worse ruining them. At 70/30 ratio its about 8% over rated weight.

I think you think too much. LOL
Take into account that most ratings are conservative. I see no problems with my R4s, but that's not the same tire you have. I'm not sure what "the lugs are starting to wrinkle" means, but I doubt you'll have any problem. John
