I have the 82" rock bucket grapple from Titan and am well satisfied with it, yes it's heavy at 1200#'s but I still have approximately 2800#'s at full lift and close to 7000#'s at breakout.
I have stalled the lift out with some good sized logs, but normally it's not even a thought.

Hummm, you started this thread asking about Titan Attachments, and it looks like you have steered this thread as a sales pitch for EA. And I have noticed hundreds of threads doing the same thing. Just seems all to common on TBN. something smells funny as some one is using many fake user accounts to control the narrative for sales.

Fake account ? LOL I have been a member here for many yrs. I can assure you, my post isn't a sales pitch for anyone. I was just looking at grapples and found Titan equipment and just wanted to know if anyone had one. After seeing the weight of their grapples, I don't know if I want one of their grapples or a lighter grapple of the same type.

A heavier grapple, etc, of the front loader reduces the loader capacity. If I buy a light loader, I can pick up heavier logs.

The EA grapple is 209 # compared to titan grapple of 815#.

I haven't made a decision on what I'm going to buy just yet. Just having a discussion about grapples.
I had no idea the weight would vary that much

Kenmac makes a good point, on smaller machines the weight of the grapple makes a BIG difference in what you can safely lift.

LD1 Your a LOT closer than I originally was - I was wrong, the reference I just found listed it at 400lbs (HD 72"), and 465lbs with the cutting edge bolted on. I been looking for a 84" mulch/trash/snow bucket myself so I figured I would get an idea of what my normal one weights.

Just checked my manual.

Lighter square back...322#. HAD round back...362#

I don't get the impression that it's a sales pitch for EA.

If that were the case we could say the same thing Everytime someone suggests a certain tractor or piece of equipment.

There are alot of choices in equipment out there.
Some are expensive because of brand recognition.
Some.are cheap because they are light duty and/or imported from China.

Some are middle of the road. Not a recognizable big name brand but still quality at a modest price.

This forum with it's many many members....pick any brand or model and someone likely has it. And so harm in sharing opinions, good or bad.

EA is a bit different in the sense that they specifically engineer to be most effective. Their equipment doesn't waste any weight or material. Those concerned about weight, that's great. Put you pay for that extra engineering and labor. No doubt in my mind it's a quality piece of equipment.

But for me.....with a loader that can pick a 2500# log with the 415# grapple I have.....being able to make that a 2600# log wasn't worth the price difference.

And the wicked 66" single lid model comparable to what I have, is only 5# lighter but pushing $1800 vs $1100 that I paid

Seems like you could do the same thing with the wicked grapple. I don't plan on ripping roots out of the ground, just moving trees, and brush. I have a bucket thumb on my yanmar. I'm just looking for something different for the Kubota

I don't think you can end pick a log like that as easily if at all, with a rake type grapple. Just not enough time on the bottom.

I know with how I use my.grapple that I wouldn't be happy with a rake type.

I often open the grapple and load it by hand with brush or firewood just as I would a regular bucket. The stuff that is too tedious to get from the seat, like picking limbs out of the yard where I don't want to gouge up the yard picking up sticks. With no bottom, can't really do that with a rake type either.

I grabbed a 1/4" SSQA mounting plate for 89$ for an upcoming project. For the money, it was hard not to. Two of the edge welds will get ground out and redone for sure. It looked like a ravine of porosity. Fortunately, across the top had good penetration down through the root.

I have their ballast box, FEL Forks, and JD QA plate.

My fork frame is like yours, only in all-black. Overall, it seems adequately made, and it fits well on
this Bobcat CT335. Not too heavy, either. $480, delivered to the left coast.

The Tomahawk products (LD1) seem to be a bargain as well, tho it seems you need to go to the
terminal to get decent shipping. I prefer that way anyway.

Not long ago, I was buying Worksaver implements 3-to-5 at a time for myself and others, shipped
all the way from Il. Implements sold here in CA are crazy-expensive new or used.
