Rake Titan Landscape Rake on eBay

/ Titan Landscape Rake on eBay #21
I apologize for not replying sooner. I was out of town and just got back. So I finally got my parts for my quick hitch bushings. So after trying the rake out today on hard soil and it lightly scratched the surface. It is my first time using a landscape rake and I was not 100% sure what to expect. I've seen videos of them clearing soil easily or raking up rocks/roots. Is that how it normally is supposed to work? it doesn't seem that heavy.

I also attached some pictures of the modifications that I had to do for the quick-hitch. It still does not work as it should because the bottom hole on the top link is still higher than the normal 15" making the lower lift arms not set in right on the i-Match.

Just like a rear blade and a box blade, it depends on the angle of the tines (or blades). For a rear blade and a rake, the longer you make the top link, the more bite the unit will have. (a box blade on the other hand, will ride up on the rear facing bade and will begin to smooth out the soil, it's opposite, the shorter the top link the more bite it has). Do you remember where you had the top link set at?

I tracked my rake to the local Fed-Ex terminal yesterday. Rather than wait for them to deliver it on Monday to a nearby business, I took my trailer down and they loaded it on for me. I planned on fixing the driveway over the weekend, so it all worked out.
I only had time to use it for 20 minutes but I'll pass on my initial impressions. I'll hit it again later, once today's monsoons move on.
It seems heavy enough. I think it weights more than the advertised weight of the one at TSC (Country Line or County Line?). The price is nice---about 1/3 the price I was quoted on a Land Pride at my local dealer. The assembly/instruction manual is pretty worthless. It's basically just an illegible diagram. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I installed the tines upside down and then had to unbolt them and then reinstall correctly. This probably cost me an hour. Otherwise, assembly would have taken about 90 minutes. My hunch is that the one bolt tine attachment system may eventually allow the tines to become misaligned, if that makes sense. That may be normal though, as I recall renting a York rake a few years ago with tines that were not perfectly aligned. I think it will be fine for what I plan to do with it.
