TL90 or TN95

I was at the local dealership Sat. afternoon picking some literature and they had a (bare with me as this all gets so confusing) TN and TD setting right next to each other. Then a T7000 (MONSTER), T6000, and then a TS-115. It was a bummer that there was no TL because I "think" that is the model that fits for me as far as frame and size is concerned. Horsepower does not seem to be and issue in any of them. I was aware of the replacement 4000 and 5000 models and asked when they would get those on lots and he said anytime now. What I discovered was that I felt the (based on what I was showed and told) the 4000 will be a bit small (light) frame wise. It is "suppposed" to be like the TN. While he 5000 will be the TL replacement. I'm not sure where the TD fits in. It seems like a low cost TL??? Of course you NH guys knows this but it was somewhat eye opening to see the actual difference in real life . . . especially setting next to a T6000. I'am really looking forward to seeing the T5000 models to be honest.

The T4000 is the TN with new decals and a few other changes and the T5000 is the TL with new decals and a few little changes. They are the same frames. The TDD is more of an economy tractor and feels physically bigger then the TL but smaller then the TS (T6000). I am not sure if the TDD is going to be renamed but if they do I would imagine it will be something similar to John Deere where the TDD would become the T5005 or somthing like that and the TT would be the T4005 series.

The TS/T6000 is a beautiful tractor and in my mind and very few people will disagree with this, it has the best cab of any tractor in its class. That cab is amazing and you feel at home in it. CNH really did their homework when they designed the TS-A cab. I would easily give up my 7710 for a T6000 except for when I ask for a price and see it:(

The TL is bigger then the TN as my pics showed but it isn't a huge jump and it is still as nimble as the TN. The TS/T6000 is a bigger jump over the TL then the TL is over the TN in size and you can feel the size difference easily.

Good info. The salesman told me the TD would be staying around I was assuming in name convention as well. So the TD size wise falls between the TL/5000 and the TS/6000? So confusing. I am really looking forward to seeing a T5070.

Ditto on everything you said about the T6000. The 6000 and TS both belong to the same guy. Apprently, he has 4 more. I believe I know who it is and he used them to pull NH bale wagons. The TS was having a 12 bale grabber installed and the T6000 was awaiting pick up, brand new!

On a side note, they had a T70XX with duals hooked to one of those big square balers. All I could do was look UP . . .

The TD I had looked at seemed to be the same size as the similar hp TL model. Seems to be very similar to some Case/IH econo models, maybe the same unit.

The older small TS's were quite similar to the larger TL's but the TS's are a much higher spec machine.

The TD-D is the same as the Case-IH JX

God only knows how you keep track.;)

I run almost all Case-New Holland equipment with a little bit of Massey so I try to keep up on the new products coming from CNH

Figured it was, neighbours are taking delivery of a JX-70 I think to replace their Case / IH 585 and 485's and got a pretty good price, 35,000 w cab, mfwd and Frey loader. Not sure what I think of it yet. Didn't think much of the TDD I had looked at last year.

What didn't you like about on the TDD?

Sitting in a TS then a TL then a TD, you notice the fit and finish on the cab in the TD is a notch down. The multitude of big old school floor levers like a Kioti or Belarus is the next item of note, I'm not a big fan of because I generally have chains tow straps tools etc laying on the floor of the cab and I don't like bumping into shifters getting in and out of the cab.

The front axle on the TD looks to be much cheaper and a lower grade casting compared to the others. Considering I've been warned about splitting the TL's axle by several NH owners I am certainly skeptical. Then again my Kubota's axle has been great despite all the naysayers about their design.

The ergonomics seem to be a step back from other NH models too. Cab heat and controls look to be a generation back.

Really I shouldn't pick, its to be expected given the cost of the tractor, just not used to seeing it in a NH. I think looking at an open station model I'd be much more favourable in my opinion.
