To FEL Or Not To FEL

Reminds me of the time my Dad got drunk, fell down in the garden and broke his ankle. When he got back from the hospital, the neighbor brought over a tractor w/FEL and pallet forks, (and pallet), and left it for a while. This served as a fine elevator to get the Old Man and his wheelchair from his two story house down to the ground and back. - Stan

Nope, John, it's true- You can ask my Mom- She's never told a lie (except a white one) in her life. The tractor was red (IH), not green, but it did just fine. There were only two operators approved for this assignment- the owner and me. -Stan

Thank goodness it wasnt green. I hear their loader cylinders leak a lot.

I would give up any other tool before my FEL. My back and other internal organs would revolt!! I find it, by far, the most useful part of the tractor.

Get the loader you won't ever regret it. If you are financing your purchase over several years the extra $2500 - $3500 won't amount to much of an increase in your monthly payment over the course of your loan.
