This goes back to the gun rule " Don't pull it out unless you plan on using it." Several years ago a mother took a gun to a bus stop around here. She was arrested for brandishing. But there was several different stories about what took place.I read Virginia law on brandishing. Brandishing is showing or pointing to a fire arm with INTENT TO THREATEN. Carrying is ok. Putting your hand on the gun in a threatening manner is a no no. Pointing a gun at someone is assault and is a felony. It's all subjective as far as brandishing. I think this law can be used(abused) to give gun carriers a hard time. Even if the Govt. can't prove it's case, you can go broke defending, which will deter carrying.
