Continued taking junky balsam fir out of a section of woods that is better suited for hardwood. I salvage what logs I can and leave the butts with stump rot lie.
The tamaracs are starting to turn gold now. The last of our color changes. Winter is coming.
That second picture is what I do ...I thought I was the only one that had my whole tractor covered up with brush, vines and limbs...LOL..I even pile it on the bush hog behind me..so I have it piled on the FEL and the BH...and away I go..It looks like a moving forrest my wife says...
Mowed the lawn with the BX and then aereated it with a pull behind aereator. Also spread lime and fertilizer but that was done with a push spreader and not the tractor. Next will be the leaves. I love the fall season, my favorite time of the year to be outside.
Did about 4hrs today and ploughed 2 acres of field (6ac total) ... was slow going since this is the first time it has been worked in decades. I bush hogged this field earlier in the summer, and the root balls (mostly junipers) were getting caught up on the plough and required repeated cleaning ...
Can't really call it seat time, but used Bigger Blue as portable staging and then to bore a new hole in the blue clay for Der Pneumatic Kerplunking Device.
