Watched the tapping vid. Good information for sure. Have used taps all through my working days as a vehicle mech. The sets of taps I usually bought came in three's, taper, plug and bottoming. A few years ago I was introduced to the better choices for power tapping in the mill. World of a difference when using the proper tool for the job.

Here’s an end table build I finished. I was a little sad when the customer picked this up.

:thumbsup:I love how the piece embrace's natural grain and color variation. People too often get hung up on matchy,matchy and staining wood that is nice just the way it came from mill.

Spent a little time in the shop today with my plasma cutter and Mig fabbing up a simple bushing to thread chain through on a saltwater buoy for my BIL. Job was as simple as it could be, cutting out a large washer out of 1/4in plate and welding on a short 1/4in wall tube. But boy was I being stupid and of course he was standing there... first... forgot the ground on the PC. Then forgot to turn on the air on my MIG. I was as rusty as the pieces I was working with! :mur:

Oh yeah, I also succeeded in catching my old cushy bathroom mat on fire while plasma cutting. :fiery: My BIL informed me of that situation.
