IT's P R O S T A T E , not 'prostrate'. That's a position you get into with your face down. Its the prostate gland that's your problem. I had exactly the same symptoms, PSA of 6 which jumped to 12 after 'stimulation', then a prostate biopsy (12 sample points). 6 of them were "highly aggressive prostate carcinoma".

Surgery via the DaVinci robotic system two weeks later is painless. FULL recovery after a month. Don't need diapers. I can write my full name in fresh snow. I can out P any of my 3 black labs. I no longer avoid my favorite beverages (Vernors was one, Molsons the other). 100% paid by Medicare, Medicaid and Humana suplementary Plan F.

If it gets out (into the neighboring lymph nodes) it will travel beyond maintenance surgery). You can joke about it all you want. Its your friends and relatives who will cry if you wait.

Now go look up 'nucular' reactors in the month of 'febuary'...

Great advice on this thread, this subject is always serious because it affects so many at our ages, I am 63. In 2006 I was having to rush to pee most times and occasionally pissed myself a little bit. Was going to see the doctor for annual in a few months so I said it will keep till then.

Then one night at home I pissed dark red like tomato juice. Went to my doc, then urologist next day. My bladder was one-third tumor. Went to hospital in a couple of days for surgery. I was lucky because the location of the attachment point was away from the ureter, and not through the muscle of the wall.

I still see the urologist annually, and he checks by either hi Rez CT scan, cystoscope, or in an OR. All is good now and I watch what I eat and drink (I stay hydrated with water) and have lost weight over time. I did smoke cigarettes for 2 of the 13 years prior to the cancer, and for 20 years earlier in life. I am getting more active now running the orchard and am happy to have that.

"Nothing like a 60 year old, slightly overweight, plump guy hanging onto a tree for dear life".

It is dificult for me to imagine a doctor telling an overweight, male patient, age sixty, that "everything" is "perfect".

Fooling yourself is called being in denial. Writing about prostate problems in a tractor forum is being in denial.

If you did not like the Urologist you saw, find another. My Urologist is a woman.

I was speaking about the numbers such as cholesterol/psa/blood sugar/BP etc. She always gets on me about losing some weight...every time! Ugh, I just like to eat too much. :ashamed:
