At this point, it may not matter for me. I'm still waiting on KTAC insurance to finalize my claim. The guy at the dealership said these normally take around 2 weeks and I'm 3.5 weeks in with very little response from KTAC. I don't know if I'll end up buying the new tractor before the end of the year at this pace.

It appears your salesman is incorrect. Cash or Kubota standard rate financing. If the Equine discount was available two years ago I missed out on it and an additional 3.5% or about $1000. Dang. I would research the KTAC availability also.

Standard rate is 5-6-7% financing, not the 0% promotional rate. Its treated the same as cash when calculating tractor pricing.

I went to my local credit union and financed the tractor. I was able to get up to 84 months at 3.48%. I don't think you will get any other rebates , just a straight 20% discount off msrp. I only needed to finance about 15k so for me the interest paid is minimal.

There are dealers that will do the 20% off Equine Program deal, 0% interest, zero down, no payments for 90 days. Each individual buyer will have to determine how the 20% off MSRP compares to the cash incentives. It may not pencil out on smaller purchases. Some dealers are more accommodating than others.

I'm in the market for a MX5400 or MX6000 (HST) with loader. Kubota still lists the equine discount on their website. I called the nearest Kubota dealer to me and inquired whether they had any on the lot and their price. MX6000 with cab 35,500. MX5400 34,250. Loader an additional 5700. I then asked about whether they were still running the equine discount. He said all the discounts were already factored in... I interpreted that to mean "no".

I won't say the guy was really rude but he certainly didn't seem too interested in spending any extra time with me than the 3 minutes I received. I know it was a phone call rather than me showing up in person, but I own a business and 8-5 time is a limited commodity. I try hard to do business local but when I call and inquire about spending 35-40k at your business I guess I expect you to act like you're happy I called. Sorry, don't mean to vent.

How were the prices I was quoted? Are there dealers out there still offering the equine discount (as it appears on the Kubota website)? I'm a cash buyer if that helps. I'm in northeast Arkansas and would entertain recommendations for dealers within a reasonable distance.

I bought 2.5 years ago and didn't know about the Equine discount, maybe it wasn't even offered then. I was a cash buyer and got the cash discount offered. All in I got 16-17% off MSRP. If I were buying today I would negotiate the best cash price, and only then ask about the equine discount price. Might tick off the salesman though.

If it helps, I just bought my MX5400 in Jan with fel/ssqa, loaded tires, two rear remotes, and a 3rd function for 33,500. Gear drive...

When I bought in August 2019, I got 17 percent off sticker. I understand inventory on tractors like many items is tight so negotiating is probably more difficult today. When I bought Kubota had 0 percent for five years and there was difference in price whether I paid cash or used their money for five years. I choose to keep my money and use Kubotas money.

Not sure how much, if any, gear drive reduces the cost. Did your have a cab? If so your price is substantially better. I was quoted $41,200 for the MX6000 with FEL.

Not sure what price difference the cab makes.

Open station... cab runs about 4500 I believe.
