What make of 3 pt.hydraulic log splitter do you own. I'm in the market for one for my BX25.

QUOTE=jwatt51;2251920]I followed an old post for adding a toolbox to my BX25. I ordered a 50 cal.ammo box from ebay for $12.On the back of the seat you'll find plastic plugs that are set up to receive bolts. The holes I used were 7"on center.I drilled some smaller holes towards the bottom of the box to add rubber bumpers. It's great for storing wrenches, shear pins and misc. stuff and it doesn't get in the way of anything or when turning the seat for using the backhoe. The paint job came out bad,but that's because I was in a hurry, but I'll take it off in the spring and do a nice paint job on it then.[/QUOTE]

I bought a Countyline from Tractor Supply. It works good and you can split horizontal or vertical with it. It is slower than a conventional one,but it works good for me and has plenty of power.

I will not be doing the seat thing, becasue...

It adds a lot of weight, thus the safety switches could "think" there is
a body in the seat and cause issues. Additionally if you want to run
perhaps a chipper, w/o a toolbox, you can simply unhook the seat
so it pops up and the PTO will work, w/ all that weight it will want
to go down, AND, spinning the seat w/ that weight to use the hoe
will make a difficult job flat out hard.

I have been contimplating where to put a tool box for a while and
no good design yet. If you rarely use the BH and if you run a QH
then either side of teh QH is screaming for vertical tubes or boxes.

Anyone that has made a BX25 tool box please picture it!

LOL, I did notice in your pics that you tend to lean towards the lightweight, stealthy, and always inconspicuous looking additions to your BX25. You will figure something out.

Here's the ammo box I put on the right fender on my 790. I got smart and put a padded armrest on the lid. Works great, and lasts a long time lol.

May be hard to spot here, but and old brass bucket for flowers, with grab handles, has served as a very handy chain holder for two years now. It is snugged to the left loader frame with nylon rope, run through a frame hole then wrapped back around the bucket. Never moves, and the full open top lets me hang a clevis from each of the four 6ft chains on the lip for easy access. PVC pipes taped to the ROPS hold nylon straps on one side, and loppers on the other. Paul Tractor and tank.jpg
