Thanks for all the replies. I have to admit, though, I don't understand what is meant by grinding it so it looks like a fillet. Could someone elaborate? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

A fillet weld is when you take two pieces of metal at 90 degrees and fill in the corner to make a triangle shaped weld. If the weld isn't quite triangle shaped but instead looks like something that came out of a can of whipped cream then you can grind down the extraneous crud to leave just the triangle, or fillet, pronounced fill-it. Not to be confused with a piece of fish pronounced fi-lay.

Gotcha - thanks! I have always done that (on the grand total of, say, five, that I have ever done! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif), but never knew what it was called.

Related question: I noted that most everyone so far has used spray paint. Has anyone powder coated their work (especially on a dedicated attachment where matching the tractor doesn't matter so much) with decent results? It seems that it would last longer.
