"The last of the Mohicans" is the only movie I have bought for myself.
The last movie I went to see was "Twister"
My favorite funny movies are "Major Payne" and "Happy Gilmore".
I had rather watch the "Duke" or Jimmy Stuart movie reruns myself. The best western movie was not made, Clint Eastwood and John Wayne were going to be in it, but Cancer happened. JC

Silent Running
Science Fiction. Earth's last remnants of plant life are being stored in giant greenhouses in orbit around Saturn until a time comes when Earth can be reforested. The freighter ships are recalled to earth. The caretakers are supposed to blow up the greenhouses and come home. One guy thinks the plants should be spared. His shipmates make fun of him. Bad choice on their part . If you ever run across this movie, rent it and watch it. Very good story with believable plot and neat special effects, considering it was made in 1972. There are four little robotic machines that help with chores on the ships. Inside them are double amputee actors. The robot costumes had to be made custom for each actor and that is why they are all a bit different. Makes it more believable.

This was the best movie Bruce Dern ever starred in and was a few years after he played in Hang 'em High. I have been waiting for years for them to show a rerun of this movie so I could see it again but I guess I have to go look for a tape.

I have seen Silent Running on reruns but its very seldom. I saw it in the last six months or so. The movie I want to see is He...ll Boy. I have seen part of the movie, just enough to want to watch the whole show. It shows up for a week or two and then disappears. I always find that it is one after its been playing.

Later,
Dan

Only saw one other person list my all time favorite and that's
The Last of the Mohicans.
Great movie set in a time when life was dangerous but wild and beautiful. The gun carried by Daniel Day Lewis was made in the little town of Beavertown here in central Pa.
