On of my favorites that hasn't been mentioned is the usual suspects w/ kevin spacey - has a great surprise ending that I still enjoy watching. I also liked him in the negotiator.

I'm glad to see there are others who enjoyed "Oh Brother Where Art Though". The movie got killed by the critics but my wife and I loved it- I didn't realize how many others enjoyed it as well. I'm going to have to rent "Tombstone"- I don't think I ever saw it but it ended up on the list several times. I don't think I could come up with a top ten list but a few we watch on DVD a couple of times a year- The Matrix, Galaxy Quest, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Pride and Predjudice (my wifes doing, but I always get sucked in). There are many others but those come right to mind.

For some reason, I'm attracted to multiple-version or re-make movies:

Tombstone
Gunfight at the OK Corral, Lancaster/Douglas, 1957
My Darling Clementine, Fonda/Mature, 1946

Ocean's 11, ...
Ocean's 11, the Rat Pack, 1960

Manchurian Candidate, Denzel
Manchurian Candidate, Sinatra, 1962

All the reviews I read of "Oh Brother..." praised the film. I've seen it several times and enjoy it everytime. The soundtrack is great too!
And, if you like "Oh Brother...", you might enjoy some of the other Coen Brothers' movies (look them up on line). All their flicks can be described as "quirky".

"Tombstone" is great!! Watch it as soon as you can!

Also "Ronin" and "Heat"...

Metropolis('20's silent with '80's rock music

Bullit

Still thinking about the other three...

I have another favorite that wasn't mentioned here: The sixth sense. It is good in that you want to watch it again and start looking for the subtle clues to the ending. One of those movies where the ending completely explains all of the weird stuff.
