Totally Confused on Which Model

/ Totally Confused on Which Model #11
It is always hard to pick just the right one and each step up seems to invite, "well for just a little bit more I could get..."

Just from my experience with a tiller, it is a LOT of money and once I got mine, everyone who had plans for gardening realized how much work was involved except for my 89 year old mother who prefers to break her garden up with a spade.

I do use mine, but could have spent the money better and rented one.

If you can pick a tractor with:

1. Just the right horsepower, no more no less.
2. Just the right weight, no more no less.
3. Just the right loader/backhoe performance, no more no less.
4. Just the right tires.
5. Just the right transmission for ALL of your needs.
6. Just the right price, no more; don't worry about the "less" part, won't
happen.
7. Just the right size; not too big and not too small, just right.

If you can do all this and more that you aspire to in your tractor selection, you can retire from your present job and become a very successful tractor consultant.

If you decide against the tiller...might get buy with a middle buster and a cultivator...less money.I use a tiller but I do 10 acres a year.I plow first(with and old two bottom) and rototill once.Tillers are pricey but should last many years and do a great job.
The MX4700 should be a real nice tractor.

So I think I have decided on what I am getting. After looking over things again, I believe the following makes sense:

MX4700
LA844 loader
BH92
BB (not sure which make/model yet)
Woodsplitter

And questioning a tiller. It's a lot of money for only using it two times a year.

The reason for going with the MX4700 is that the loader has a lift capacity of 1852 whereas the L4400 with the LA703A only has 1543, that is a big difference. Also the MX models are newer and I like the new curved hood as well as up here in Canada, the M models are 0% for 60mths whereas the L models are 0% for 48. Overall it will do everything I need it for. I can't really compare it to the L45 and it's an additional $7-8k so I am thinking to use some of that money to get the BB and woodsplitter, neither of which are too expensive.

Now all I got to do is get a good deal for my B20 trade and a decent price on the MX4700.

The MX is a good choice, Kyle. You'll find it's very capable. The FEL and BH are quite strong. I agree with TripleR about the tiller. We have a 72" one and use it a few times a year. It's expensive for how often you use it, but, overall, I guess it was a worthwhile purchase.

Hope you have a good dealer who will work with you.
