i bought a 5 hp lawn mower engine that had a reduction gear drive on it to power the hydraulic pump for my dump trailer. I noticed several posts where they were talking about getting a pump that could handle the rpm. The reduction gear drive slows the rpm down a lot and lets my little 5 horse motor drive the hydraulics for the dump trailer pretty well. I dont know where to get the units. I had a neighbor had this one for sale used at the time I was trying to figure out how to drive the hydraulics on the dump trailer. I am sure a google search would find them

I have noticed that some of the pumps handle 3600 rpm. I think one of these should do the trick. Is everyone using 3" hydraulics.It's gonna need new cylinders also.
