Rest in Peace
An automatic sidekick has a gm 3 spd in it, but I assume you unlocked the hubs and towed backwards, nothing was spinning.
His sidekick was the 2-wheel drive model, so no hubs to unlock. Otherwise, yes, we would have.

I can't remember what kind of output shft this car has and too lazy to go look under the wife's town car, but if pulling the driveshaft means pulling the output shaft of the transmission all the fluid is coming with it. If it has a flange on the output shaft and it bolts on just pull the driveshaft.
Mark where it was when you took it off and put it back in the same place.
I'd really rent a U-haul car trailer. Ain't that much..Drive it on and drive it off. They even have wheel tie-downs built in. They are light weight trailers too.

Well he pulled the drive shaft and left early Sunday, made it as far as KC and the rear end went out of his pickup!!! 2000 model 1500 4x4 ... so he put the driveshaft on the car ... hooked the dolly to the car BUT the truck would't fit on the dolly ... to wide of tires. So he left the truck in KC and has to go back and get it.
Anyone going North out of KC to MN?
